Hazak

HAZAK is the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism's Organization for Mature Jews, ages 55+. Members will have opportunities to meet with fellow Jews from other affiliated Conservative congregations to develop a sense of fraternity, and to share time in study, prayer, and socializing in neighboring communities.

HAZAK is a member organization. A modest annual dues fee is charged to cover expenses. We are currently organized and continue organizing in Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties, and are expanded into other areas throughout the Southeast Region.

Meal of Condolence

In the unfortunate event of a loss to a congregant's immediate family, HAZAK will set up the Shiva meal for the family at the congregant's home following the funeral services. The basic meal provided includes bagels, cream cheese, hard boiled eggs, lettuce and tomato salad, and coffee, for up to eighteen people. HAZAK members will set up the table and be of assistance to the grieving family in any way they can.
